Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT ®’s CEO Georgia Gascoyne was given the opportunity to have her say on the EU Referendum on BBC Radio Five Live.

Georgia said: “Having worked at Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT ® previously, pre-EU, I certainly wouldn’t want to return to those days of having to produce all that export paperwork for every shipment.

Being part of a free trade agreement with the rest of the EU helps us to provide the same good service and next day delivery that our UK Distributors enjoy to our European partners.

The problem with Brexit, there is no plan for business. The campaign is not being driven by a business perspective but a migration issue. I’ve nothing against migration but I’ve everything against uncertainty.

Running a business we have to make decisions everyday: some minor, some major. These decisions are never taken lightly, we weigh up the pro’s and con’s and analyse outcome and risk.

In terms of Brexit I’m adopting a precautionary principle – it’s a big decision and we don’t know the outcome of pulling out – why take the risk? We can’t afford to take the chance of stepping into the unknown, it would be chaos. We don’t take our business decisions lightly so we must treat this important decision the same.

From an economic point of view an exit would spell disaster. Our currency will be undervalued, shares will drop which will affect pension funds and the economists are expecting no growth whatsoever just another 2 years at least of austerity.

My vote is to stay, Britain is stronger in Europe.”
